Fx 56 - NoScript icon disappeared on 5.1.2 update

I didn't try the Safe Mode/restart option to get the icon back. But it's back. This may be a clue to what's happening or maybe not.
Before I started the troubleshooting specification page shows:
Version 56.0.1
Extensions
Name Version Enabled ID
Adblock Plus 2.9.1 true {d10d0bf8-f5b5-c8b4-a8b2-2b9879e08c5d}
NoScript 5.1.2 true {73a6fe31-595d-460b-a920-fcc0f8843232}
Safe Browsing Version 4 (temporary add-on) 1.0.0 true sbv4-gradual-rollout@mozilla.com
I went to https://noscript.net/getit and clicked on the big green INSTALL button.
After the install the release notes page showed up. The odd thing is it told me I was using an old version, i.e. 5.1.1.
That's not what it showed me on the specification page. SEE ABOVE.
I closed FIrefox and restarted it. Still no noscript icon.
This is from the release notes page:
V. 5.1.2 - Secure all those processes!
Looks like you are running an older version (5.1.1), probably because latest version is not published on addons.mozilla.org yet.
You are strongly encouraged to
install latest stable version (5.1.2)
I did the install again from the release notes page. I should have closed Firefox and restarted it to see if that install fixed something, but I didn't. Instead I did a restart of the computer.
The Noscript Icon is back but I don't know whether it was after the install or the computer restart.
