Re: WebExtensions changes coming?

Raymond Hill's comment at bugs.chromium.org summarizes the consequences quite well. I remember reading a comment by Giorgio Maone that NoScript for Chromium browsers may be introduced this year. What do the possible changes mean for NoScript?

Re: How to make NoScript show subdomain instead of ... ?

This is a feature. The list does not show the subdomains indeed. The points tell that an entry actually refers to one or more subdomains. By allowing ...google.com you will allow all subdomains of google.com, which may or may not be what you want to allow. You may try the option "List full addr...

The current release candidate 10.2.2rc1 fixes the problem! Again, thanks for the fix!

Re: "Disable Restriction For This Tab" Not Working

I have described what I know about the bug here: https://github.com/hackademix/noscript/issues/48 As written in issue 48, I have tested older releases to see when the bug was introduced. The last release where "Disable restrictions for this tab" worked as expected was NoScript 10.1.9.8 (Oc...

Re: [BUG] "Disable restrictions for this tab" worded incorre

If the developer utilities are open, "disable restrictions for this tab" works as expected. As soon as I close them, I can reproduce the bug. Thus, the bug is not reproducible here, if at least one of the following is true: Another extension is installed (I tried HTTPS Everywhere and uBloc...

Re: "Disable restrictions for this tab" is worded incorrectl

Until version 10.1.9.9 setting "disable restrictions for this tab" did not block anything for the tab. When I wrote that, I did not realize under what exact circumstances the bug occurs. I have tested the bug with version 10.1.9.9 now and could reproduce it. Since I usually use NoScript a...

Re: "Disable restrictions for this tab" is worded incorrectl

I can still reproduce this behavior: disabling restrictions for the current tab does not work until changing some option like Debug or something else like showing the counter, for example. After restarting Firefox it does not work again until I change an option. This is reproducible here on two comp...

Re: "Disable restrictions for this tab" is worded incorrectl

I can reproduce it. Firefox 63.0.3 and NoScript 10.2.0. 1. create a new profile in about:profiles and start Firefox using the new profile 2. install NoScript from addons.mozilla.org (I did not change anything, just used the defaults, but restarted the browser after installing NoScript) 3. load an ar...

Re: "Disable restrictions for this tab" is worded incorrectl

I tried the same with Tor browser and there it worked! Maybe there is some problem with my standard Firefox profile. I have to investigate that further.

Re: "Disable restrictions for this tab" is worded incorrectl

Until version 10.1.9.9 setting "disable restrictions for this tab" did not block anything for the tab. The presets for the listed sites did not change, however, they just were not applied. With version 10.2.0 setting "disable restrictions for this tab" does not seem to have any e...

Re: GMX Email Web Login

Setting resistFingerprinting to true, tracking protection to strictest or even using private browsing made no difference on gmx.com - still works. I am using GMX myself and setting resistFingerprinting shows a message saying that the browser is old, because the apparent Firefox version 60 is older ...

Have you set privacy.resistFingerprinting to true in about:config? This would cause the message.

Re: New black-on-pink superscript icon is...??

Firefox 63 has introduced a new method of setting the color of the text depending on the background of the badge automatically: light backgrounds get a black text and dark backgrounds get a white text. The next version of NoScript will have a darker background, such that the text color is white agai...
