[RESOLVED] Red exclamation mark?

The noscript icon in the top left of Firefox is now just the blue S but it now always has a red exclamation mark for all sites I visit (where I can mark the site as untrusted).
All sites 'within the site' also have the option to mark as untrusted - but not allow.

Any idea why?

You've enabled 'Scripts Globally Allowed' mode, and everything is trusted by default (not safe!). To return to the much-safer default, select 'Forbid Scripts Globally'.

Btw, this is thoroughly documented in the features page on the NoScript website. I recommend reading it, as you're likely to learn a lot of things about NoScript's features that you didn't already know.

Thanks for that. It was my 7 yr old - who also managed to install Chrome.
I've used it for a long time and would never allow global access.

Thanks again. :)

Good for you :). You can actually remove that entry from the menu entirely, using the Options - Appearance tab. Personally, I always remove that, plus the 'Allow all this page' and 'Temporarily allow all this page' entries, and I use full addresses instead of base domains.

And your 7-yr-old has Admin privileges -- why? ;)
