I think it more that with 17, Java is not being blocked - at all, regardless of settings?

The blocking works in FF 10.7 ESR, it started with v17.0. For the nightlies I've disabled the plugin completely until it's fixed in noscript because some sites are attempting to run it as there's no placeholder. Firefox becomes entirely unusable until Java.exe is closed in task manager. I don't want click to play because noscript still works to block Flash, even though the placeholder is tiny and collapsed.
Not blaming the noscript developer here, Firefox is becoming a pain with the constant changing and breaking of things. They're pushing people to Chrome and don't even know it apparently.

It's a Gecko bug (maybe two) which I'm going to file later today.
