It would be nice if instead of a large black box I could be shown the link, even if in plain text, of an embedded YouTube video.
Here is an example of a page that without scripts enabled the video is a big black box:

If you blocked FRAMES (Options | Embeddings), you would get a placeholder that you could right-click & gets the clip properties.
And if not, the browser right-click, This Frame -> View Frame Info.
And if not, the browser right-click, This Frame -> View Frame Info.

The placeholder clearly shows you when you mouse over it that its blocking an IFRAME to a video located at http://www.youtube.com/embed/LoGHKe7Fr_g, what more do you want?
