Appreciation

Mr. Tom T. and Giorgio,

I have browsed this forum for a while and you sirs are worthwhile citizens of this planet. I see the care you take, patience and diligence. You demonstrate legitimate concern for proper behavior of the product, and clearly are conscientious - extremely conscientious - that the public is satisfied. These are each major points. They set the example for all your readers in their technological pursuits.

Moreover, in light of these qualities, you have not a speck of a chance of ever becoming Microsoft employees. Their Interface Deproductivity Department would smite you on sight.

In my limited sampling I see a lower rate of "stupid posts" and posts of simply googleable or site-searchable "already answered" questions here. Part of that is credit to the likelihood that NoScript users are non-AOL sophisticates, but certainly your work here, and judicious use and admonition regarding sticky posts, deserve credit.

I'm going back to look for more sticky posts I might have missed. You have made the time and effort, so you deserve at least that much from me and other users. Off to read now.

Cheers.

Thank you very much for the kind words.
However, although I am not an attorney, I think I should mention, as you probably know, that there is a professional actor named Heather Locklear, and if there is any implication that you are using her likeness (image) or name, without her permission, there could be possible legal issues for you.

Unless, of course, that is also your name and likeness. (IP address makes it unlikely that the post came from the actor.)

Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, but rather, in return for your kind words, please take a moment to consider these cautions.
-Tom T.

p. s.: I can't speak for Giorgio -- I never thought that Mark Russinovich would join forces with MS -- but your assessment of this writer's possibility of becoming an MS employee is correct. :)

I have spoken against M$ for many reasons and for many years, but I feel they get a bum rap and often are treated more unfairly than other companies who commit far more egregious actions against their users. I think any complaint against M$ needs to be tempered with fairness and equity. Just saying. Apple has done much worse to their users, and Google to name a couple, and yet the bashing is all put on M$, seems a bit uneven which would suggest that most complaints are band wagon style and not rooted in merit.

I didn't complain (in this post, lol); I just said that I would never work for them. Mostly because I don't work in IT at all -- as you know, my friend.

I know what you meant, I was just saying as a general statement because I have been getting some ridiculous comments and posts lately and I figured as good a place as any to put the thought. It wasn't directed at you, that's why it wasn't a quote or reply to you, per se :) good to see you back, I had missed you.
