[RESOLVED] Problem with "temporarily allow" & multiple tabs

Post by cptbs »

When I click on "temporarily allow all this page," all the tabs with java apps will respond, not just the tab I'm viewing. (For example, I may have a tab with a streaming audio player that's currently muted, it becomes un-muted.) This seems to have started happening after I installed Firefox v12, and persists in v13.

You can disable that global reload of all tabs by going to the about:config and finding this item noscript.autoReload.allTabs that has two other counterparts as well based on how much you want to refine it and you can toggle them as you wish to prevent this from happening. Obviously false means it won't reload all other tabs based on your actions on a single page. Hope that helps.

Oh by the way, having checked the FAQ (http://noscript.net/faq#qa5_2) would have given you the answer too, just for future reference.

Thanks VERY MUCH for the quick response. (Not meaning to whine, but I did scan thru the FAQ; guess I gave up too soon -- although I did search for "temporarily allow" which didn't turn up the workaround.)
