[UNRELATED] Flashgot and JDownloader 2

Hello,

I want to use the new JDownloader2 with Flashgot, but I don't see it in the Downloader list (it is deactivated).

Details:
OS: Windows 7 x64
Java: 1.7.0_04 (tested with 32bit and 64bit)
Browser: Firefox 14.0 (but it happens also with older versions)
Extension: Flashgot 1.4.6rc1

I open also a thread in the JDownloader Forum (http://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=38882), but don't get any answer.

It is a single problem only on my side or can it not work?

I found the solution. It has nothing to do with the error message.
The path to the "JDownloader 2.exe" was not set. I set it correctly and it works fine.

Now it works fine :D

I was just going to say that you should check the path but you figured it out, so I am glad you got it working.

my Flashgot dosn't work with JDownloader 2! (FF15.0) I install Java,Flashgot and JDownloader2 seval times new but all with the same result!
In the JDownloader Forum I open a Toppic but until today with no result

any idea here? and sorry about my english :oops:

Could you show me your FlashGot Options|Advanced|Show Log output?

It's a bug on JDownloader's side.
It seems they removed the feature which returned the path to their executable if invoked without links, and return an error JSON message instead.
Feel free to post on their forum cross-referencing this answer of mine.

about:config, and set the flashgot.dmsopts.JDownloader.path preference to the path of the JDownloader.jar file (inside your JDownloader installation).

However, I wrote an email to Jiaz (one of the JDownloader developers) and he said he's fixed the bug. Not sure in which build the fix is available, or if it's publicly available at all yet.
