About 2 days ago, I noticed that after closing FF, the process continued to run for about a minute in Task Manager, eating up 100% of my resources. This happens every time I close FF, now. After troubleshooting all my extensions and plug-ins, I discovered that I could run all of them without a problem EXCEPT FLASHGOT. Once I disable FLASHGOT, the problem goes away, even with all the other add-ons running. But as soon as I enable FLASHGOT, the problem comes back.
Strangely, the exact same problem has been occurring on my wife's desktop, as well. Again, this only started about 2 days ago.
For over a year, I have used Flashgot and FF, regularly updating both, without a problem. Now, suddenly it's causing a problem on two separate computers. What's going on?
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Anti-virus (or similar) related?
What A/V are you using?
If you disable your A/V does the problem persist?
Before closing FF, about how much RAM is it using?
(Task Manager will tell you.)
Does it happen in a new, clean, Profile with only FlashGot installed?

Anti-virus (or similar) related? There doesn't seem to be a connection.
What A/V are you using? Comodo, and have been for about a year.

Before closing FF, about how much RAM is it using? Approx 150,000K

Re: Flashgot is causing FF to hang upon exiting.
Well, for whatever reason, the new profile did it. I copied the old profile to a different directory, created a new profile, deleted the old one, and then copied all the necessary files into the new profile to restore all of my bookmarks and preferences. I then reinstalled Flashgot, and all is well. Why? I haven't a clue. What caused the problem? I have no idea. When I was younger, I would obsess over finding out what went wrong. But now? I'm simply content that everything is back to normal.
Thank you for suggesting creating a new profile. I greatly appreciate it!
