NoScript Synchronization Feature - Discussion

Gecko >1.9 only, so FF3+ (& presumably at some point SeaMonkey 2
.1, if/when bookmarks are moved to places.sqlite).
Trying to "open"
*NoScript Configuration results in a XSS warning

.
"Space", %20, separated records.
And this happens how/when? When the browser is opened, when it is closed, when NoScript Preferences are updated?
Possible to have Import/Export import or export to
NoScript Configuration Bookmark?
Ability to make it "on-demand" rather then automatic (automated) feature?
It always do when you hit the "Save" button from NoScript Options
Where is this "Save" button?

The bookmark is not meant to be clicked. It's just meant to sit there and being copied around (alongside with its own folder) by bookmark synchronization utilities.
No "Save" button, sorry, it's the "OK" button.

Assuming you don't use or don't want to use a bookmark sync program, where is this bookmark physically located and since we are calling it a bookmark, does it show up in the bookmark list? Will manually moving it to another machine or using a custom sync solution on this bookmark mean automatic recognition and syncing?

The bookmark shows up in the Bookmarks Menu|* NoScript Configuration folder.
If both the folder and the menu are moved, synchronization happen.

Gotcha, thanks.

@allanak:
could you check how long this bookmark URL is, so I can try to reproduce?
BTW, since it can be saved but not synchronized, looks like a bug the XMarks guys should be notified to provide a fix, because could affect any long bookmark, not just NoScript's configuration.

Looks like a flawless deduction from you.
Would you mind contacting the XMarks developers telling them this limit is too much restrictive, considering that
Firefox supports apparently unlimited URL lengths?

I note that there was some discussion above about synchronization of the Temporary Whitelist entries. I did not see a resolution, but it is something I would like to see -- that is, if the feature could be amended so that Temporary Whitelist entries are not included in the synchronization bookmark -- just permanent Whitelist entries.
I have "Temporarily allow top-level sites by default" checked, so if I touch any NoScript options in a session, this spreads my visit history around to all my synchronized machines.
If there are reasons to sometimes synchronize Temporary entries, then at least could there be a Options page checkbox controlling whether or not to include the Temporary entries?

If we're talking about Fx > Bookmarks, why don't I have this folder?

I thinks it's safe to say in most instances you do
not want temporary entries to be synchronized across multiple machines.
I'll filter them out in next release, thanks.

the folder and the inner entry are both currently called "[NoScript]" (to avoid localization issues), and the folder is located in your "Bookmarks" menu.

Have searched "Bookmarks" menu diligently, and do not see it. Is this an F3-only feature? (that's my guess)
