My quote in the subject line is from memory. I included current/present because I couldn't remember which was correct
In the past, after installing a new NoScript version, I would go back to the NoScript site (I think that was almost semi-automatic) and get a screen that included the statement "Congratulations, you have installed the current version" or something very close to that. That message was a comforting assurance that the installation had gone properly.
Today I upgraded from version 2.3.2 to 2.3.4, and no matter what NoScript site I visit, it tells me that I need to upgrade. However, if I right-click the S icon at the lower right corner of my SeaMonkey window, the About NoScript window says that I am running 2.3.4.
What link should I use to get to the NoScript website page that gives me the Congratulations that I am looking for? Alternatively, does my inability to find that website page indicate that version 2.3.4 didn't install properly?
Thanks for any help.

P.S. PROBABLY IRRELEVANT BACKGROUND:
My browser is Mozilla-SeaMonkey 2.0.14; I haven't upgraded that to the current 2.7.1 because I need the NoSQUINT utility and it has been dropped from later SeaMonkey versions.
I have just finished (a few details to go) upgrading my Windows 2000 Sp4 computer to Windows XP Sp3.

2.3.4 is the current release.
If the icon shows it, & about:plugins shows it, I wouldn't worry.
I believe this or similar has come about before.
Options | Notifications -> Display the release notes on updates, is the setting that would take you or not to noscript.net on update.

Exactly. If unchecked, check it.therube wrote:Options | Notifications -> Display the release notes on updates, is the setting that would take you or not to noscript.net on update.
Some people didn't like the automatic redirect, or thought it was to pump ad counts versus showing the changes and confirming a successful install (hey, it's a *free* tool; it has to be paid for somehow; and no one forces you to look at the ads, so that's a legit thing, too, IMHO). So that option was added, to disable the confirmation/redirect.
