Sorry if I'm a complete noob or sound like one although I'm trying to download a video from the website vidbox.net and when the clip starts, flashgot doesn't seem to recognize it. Could it possibly be because the site uses a divx player?

Just curious.

EDIT: After a little bit of research it appears that vidbox uses rtmp.

If anyone is aware how to download rtmp streams it would be very useful, if not I'm sure I can find it on google in the morning

FlashGot doesn't seem to work with Vidbux or VidX Den either... ? I just downloaded a VidX Den video yesterday, so this is a new thing. I updated FlashGot and it still won't work for the JW Player or any other player similar to it.

Maybe because while there is a filename (FN==Amazing.Eats.S01E08.Savory.Seafood.HDTV.XviD-CRiMSON.flv) in there, what it actually GETs (or POSTs?) doesn't look like a file?

In any case, things are horribly slow there.

So I don't think it's the VidX Den website, if that's what you're trying to say. Like I said, it's only with the JW player and similar players to it. FlashGot just does not detect it or pick up on it or anything. And it's only very recently. I've had no problems up until now.

Another site that uses JWplayer is Cucirca.com. Depending on the video, there are several possible outcomes. Two are obvious: The video works at the site and FlashGot can download it; and the video does not work at the site and FlashGot cannot download it.

But the weird one is when the video works and FlashGot cannot download it. For example, go to Cucira.com and locate House season 3 episode 2. This is rare but it happens. Note that this is valid at this time (March 25)'; I mention it because the video files move around a lot. Tomorrow, this particular season and episode might move and have new behavior.

Everything I tried worked.
Playback start up could have been timely or not.
Download manager download could have been timely or not, irrespective of playback start up.
(IOW the clip could have started playing, but it took a long time, many retries <which for my download manager are automatic> before the clip finally started coming down.)

A bunch of different servers. All worked. NoScript Media icon displayed in all cases. Some (ovfile in particular) took a long time before the download finally started downloading (in my download manager).

Yes, I noticed that if I gave the embedded player time to actually start playing, then FlashGot would work.

Just catches ad playing first but not video itself. Digging into source proves it's JWplayer indeed: http://24tv.ua/js/jwplayer/player.swf

Anyway, thank you developers for the great addon!
