Recently started getting feedback tab or new window in FF from untrusted opinionlab. Probably initiated by a trusted site but I don't want to be bothered.

That sounds more like a malware infection, unless you can trace the source of this new tab or window to a specific site or sites.

Do you have scripting in standard default-deny mode?
Does the menu at any of your visited sites mention opinionlab, in scripts or objects?
Are all embeddings blocked by default in NoScript Options > Embeddings?

If this doesn't locate the source of the new load, I'd recommend a full scan of your machine with your up-to-date anti-virus program, plus the tools provided by other reputable sites, like Malware Bytes Anti-Malware.

If not opinionlab, one of those "opinion" sites I see fairly regularly.
What I recall is of the sort, "would you like to give your opinion on xyz.com? yes/no?".
And if yes, the survey would ensue after you had left the site in question.

Was thinking ABP was used to block it?
Though it was likely a different service from "opinionlab" because a search wasn't finding anything on it.

This isn't the one I recall seeing:

This is the one I typically come across, ForeSee.
And with that, Possible to block ForSee surveys?
Ambassador? Field Marshal? What's up with that?

It was something that Giorgio and I discussed, to give recognition to frequent contributors. I didn't know that he would include all Mods in this.

You'll note that those with some number of posts acquire the title, "Senior Member".
Check out al_9x's and dhouwn's titles. :)

The idea was mine, but Giorgio alone came up with the titles, so if you have an issue, of course let him know.
But it's hardly an insult to say that you are an ambassador of good will to the user community, with your many helpful posts, links, and pics -- like the ones in this thread. Same with Alan Baxter, surely.

GµårÐïåñ's title was clearly chosen as a salute (LOL) to his proud status as an ex-Marine.

I was quite surprised at mine. I can't read Giorigo's mind, but my best guess is that it was inspired by my various suggestions in our private forum, which resulted in the NoScript Quick Start Guide, Forum Rules, the stickies on "Some Sites You Might Not Want To Allow" and "Site-specific permissions questions? Please read this.. " etc. Perhaps he was being a bit tongue-in-cheek about my frequent suggestions for forum features and stickies, as if I were running the show -- I surely hope so, because it's his show, and I try only to help make things as usable and accessible as possible. So I took it in that spirit, as a combination of good-natured ribbing and some implied thanks. I'd suggest that it be taken that way by all.

Oh, and there will soon be a new subforum and a new sticky in it, thanks to moi, so I guess I deserve the ribbing about the frequent suggestions. :D
