Blocked content is not shown on the page - why?

I just started using NoScript. I really wish the addon would show on the page what elements it has blocked from the page like for example Flashblock does. This would make using it a lot more intuitive. As it is now, I have very little idea on what stuff is actually blocked. Right clicking and seeing the list is not nearly as convenient or intuitive as would be seeing an empty frame with a NoScript icon on it that can be clicked to unblock (like you can do in Flashblock). At least for things like images and flash content this would be more intuitive.
Or maybe I'm missing something since on the page http://noscript.net/screenshots the second picture seems to show that this happens, but I haven't yet seen the NoScript icon on any page.
I appreciate the effort but I will probably not be using this addon because it makes me feel I'm missing stuff on a page that I didn't even realize I was missing, and finding this out by right clicking or by clicking the "pop-up" is just too slow. How did you learn to live with this predicament?
