Noscript causes browser to load addresses on its own

I'm not sure if this is a minor bug or an obscure setting that I can't identify, but it's been nagging me for a while. If I type something into Firefox's address bar, then hit enter, then hit "Stop" or Esc before the page stops loading, FF will stop for a few seconds and then start reloading the page on its own. The reason it's annoying is this scenario: you are typing out an address, hit enter, realize you've made a typo so you hit stop, then midway through correcting the address the browser starts loading the incorrect address again (usually resulting in a Google search if it's not a valid URL) which boots the cursor out of the address bar and clears anything you have just typed.
I'm using Noscript 2.2.8 but this bug has been around for a while now. All you need to do to reproduce this is type random gibberish into the address bar, hit enter, then hit stop. The browser should then start loading the contents of the address bar after a few seconds. This happens on a fresh profile with only Noscript loaded.
