[Resolved] flashgot not working in firefox9 Mandriva2011

Hello everybody
I've had flashgot installed in mandriva-linux 2011.0 since I installed the OS, and it always run OK. A few weeks before, flashgot suddenly stopped running. Everytime I try to launch "Preferences" a text-box appears saying that there are some corrupt files and I should uninstall the plugin, so I do, and then I reinstall it again, but with same results. I dont know if this started to happen after a firefox update, a flashgot update or any other kind of system update. I've got flashgot running in several linux, windows and BSD machines and I've never had such an issue. If anybody can point me in the right direction..

Easiest thing to try, as a test, create a new Profile, install FashGot & see if it work there.
Then if it does ...?
Extension conflict or some kind of Profile corruption?

We just had a recent automatic upgrade to FireFox 9.01 and flashgot is still there but not showing up to catch any flash as did before. Tried uninstalling it and re-installing it... and nothing

the 'owner /tmp/flashgot.*/*.fgt ixr,' to AppArmor does not fix it either. It's like FlashGot extension is there in FireFox 9.01 but it just doesn't work at all. BTW has been working fine in previous FF versions.

Could you show me your FlashGot Options|Advanced|Show log output?
Also, could you outline step-by-step the usage scenario you're testing to fail?

Mostly used on Youtube ... the Flashgot icon would show up in the bottom right. After update to FF 9.01, no icon.

Is the add-on bar enabled?

OK - was not aware of this 'addon bar' since flashgot worked w/ FF 3.6 without it and the flashgot icon would show up in the bottom right !
...now with the bar turned on the icon shows up when ready (i'm always the last to find out about these things)
all seems to be working now...
