Re: noscript bug
Couldn't reproduce this on Firefox 9.01, NS 2.2.25, on Win XP, but did come up with one slight heads-up:
Let's say that I export a list in which badsite.com is Untrusted.
Then, later, I add badsite.com to the whitelist.
Now, I import the previous exported list.
Result: NoScript will not add badsite.com to the Untrusted list. It will not remove it from the whitelist.
In other words, it won't overwrite a current whitelist with an Untrusted entry from an imported list.
I assume this is by design. Presumably, we decided to whitelist badsite.com *after* having previously marked it as Untrusted.
NoScript is honoring the most recent choice.
Make sure your Whitelist is manually purged of all unwanted entries *before* importing the previous export.
Does this help?
To prevent, keep the export current by exporting each time after making significant changes.
Personally, I back up the entire Profile folder fairly regularly. Then even if I have to reinstall Firefox for some reason, *everything* will be the same -- the extensions, the configuration settings, etc. -- as soon as I restore the backup Profile.
