So far my searches for a solution have been futile, so I'd like to ask for assistance in this forum:
How to show all the blocked/blockable items of a web site? This would be very useful for verifying that ABE is working as intended and would be also helpful when writing ABE rules.

AFAIK, there is no interface of "blockable elements" which is something ABP uses/shows to the users yet. However, there is a debug setting that based on how detailed you would like it to get (which can get messy and overwhelming) that will allow you to see in the error/debug console what is happening. Give that a shot and see if it does it for you, but otherwise, GUI-wise, no there isn't.

Right-click on the page and click "View Page Info", then "General" and "Media".

Get the JSView add-on. You can r-click its icon and "JSView Page Info", but that add-on seems to be picked up very nicely by the above Firefox "View page info" -- the JSView icon shows at the top. Click it to get the same info on scripts, all from the Firefox GUI.

btw, the Original AdBlock did exactly what you asked for. Unfortunately, no one supported it beyond Fx 2.0.0.20.
