Unexpected placeholder actions

Reporting unexpected behaviour of placeholders in V2.2.4rc2

navigate to abc.net.au/iview with abc.net.au allowed and flash embeddings blocked for trusted sites
A small placeholder is displayed upper left of screen and the tooltip reads

Code: Select all

<OBJECT>,shockwave-flash@http://www.abc.net.au/iview/
This is the only blocked object shown in the blocked objects menu.
Releasing this object produces a second full screen placeholder with the tooltip

Code: Select all

<OBJECT>,http://www.abc.net.au/iview/iview_382.swf#!flashvars#a=&d=&isPS3=false
This is released and the flash player plays as normal

Expected behaviour:
No preliminary small flash placeholder for just /iview
As in all previous versions, including V2.3.3
navigate to abc.net.au/iview
The full screen placeholder is displayed, tooltip:

Code: Select all

<OBJECT>,http://www.abc.net.au/iview/iview_382.swf#!flashvars#a=&d=&isPS3=false
This is released and the flash player plays as normal.

Australian national broadcaster, so need to view with Oz IP

I'll confirm the change in behavior.

Possibly something to do with (... looking...) ... didn't find the page, but it was where the page is entirely Flash.

Yes, therube, entire source of page is Flash.
A huge annoyance for a person that likes keyboarding around tabs: you get swallowed in all that pointy pointy flash UI and can't keyboard out to anything much if your focus is there. How many CTRL + T etcs have I done fruitlessly wasting my fingers there? too many.
Sigh. But that's the price you pay for streamed free access national broadcasting I guess...

Same unexpected result when viewing the BBC iPlayer.
Test url
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0 ... ndic_Walk/

Have tested on a new default profile with NS all defaults except:
Allow bbc.co.uk
Allow bbcimg.co.uk
Block embeddings coming from trusted sites.

There is a small flash placeholder at the bottom left of the screen - nowhere near where the player's NS placeholder normally is.
When it's released the normal full size placeholder in the position of the player then shows up.
The behaviour began with 2.2.4rc2

Confirming the behaviour is back to the expected single large placeholder in V2.2.4rc3
Your attention to bugs is absolutely remarkable!
