[RESOLVED] New NS object on links from Google search results

Post by WaltR »

I recently started seeing something I never saw before when I click links in a Google search results page. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this. See attachment. The tab outlined in red is the Google results page. The open tab is what I see when I click one of the links.

I've got two computers, one with XP SP3 32bit and one with Vista SP2 32bit, and they both do it. I'm using NS 2.1.8. I've tried configuring NS every which way but nothing gets rid of it. It does eventually go away and the page loads normally, but I really don't need to see it if I don't have to. Anyone know of a workaround?

Tell Google they should offer direct links to the search results?

The latest build seems to have resolved this issue. Excellent work Giorgio!

Yes, there were a couple of other posts about this or similar issues with Google and its links, and if you look in the changelog for 2.1.9rc*, you'll see there were indeed prompt changes.

Will mark as Resolved, and on behalf of Giorgio, thank you for the kind words. :)
