Enhancement request: ABE in the context menu

It would be tremendously useful to me if a default set of ABE permissions could be installed upon allowing a site. I have block after block of this sort of configuration in my ABE USER list:
Code: Select all
Site .browserscope.net .browserscope.org .browserscope2.org
Accept from .browserscope.net .browserscope.org .browserscope2.org
Deny INC(SCRIPT, OBJ, SUBDOC)
Just because I allow userscripts.org (great example!) doesn't mean I want to allow it to be embedded invisibly elsewhere--same with my online banking and credit card sites, microsoft.com, etc.

I'm sorry that this has not been answered in more than a week.
I'll bring it to Giorgio's personal attention to consider your request.
FWIW, I do believe that in upcoming NS 3.x, this whole matter of allowing things at one or a few sites, but not everywhere, will become *much* easier, and not require ABE, IIUC. Perhaps Giorgio can verify that, in which case, it would be understandable if he chose to concentrate on releasing NS 3 more quickly versus adding this capability to NS 2.x.
I do understand the convenience that would be gained by your request. Thank you for your patience.

Well, he's a busy guy--working on NS 3?--and he did bring us NoScript in the first place. Your response is approximately what I was looking for: "We see it; we'll get to it". And, yeah, I was kind of looking for a placeholder until the much-anticipated NS3 brings us joy and safety and unicorns.
Thanks!
PS: (I'm very curious to see if NS3 can help Opera pass more of the BrowserScope security tests. Is the extension API up to it? I know Chrome's is deliberately crippled...)

Just released
NS 3 For Mobile a month ago. You might find that article interesting. Excerpt:
Giorgio Maone wrote:Furthermore, while the in-page permission UI has been greatly simplified and optimized for touchscreen consumption, NoScript for Mobile In-Page Permissions UI the underlying engine has been redesigned to allow deep per-site customization at the single permission level (e.g. making Flash permanently work by default on site X but not on site Y, even if JavaScript is allowed on both, or causing restrictions on a certain embedded object to depend on its parent page’s address). These fine grained permissions will be configured through a new desktop UI (under development, slated for inclusion in the first cross-device NoScript 3 beta)....

I am not aware of any plans to port NS to Opera, although If Giorgio has a secret plan, I'm sure he'll let us know when he replies.
Thanks!
You're welcome, and thank you for your interest in NoScript.
