Google Search box and Search Button does not work
Posted: Fri Nov 04, 2011 12:05 pm
Hello
For several weeks (I'm a little bit lazy
) my Google Search box and search button does not work. In mean time No-Script updated several times. I tired some google searches but did not find anything about this.
These are some steps I took to by pass the problem:
1) I allowed all web sites from No-Script -> with no luck
2) I added google.com white list but no luck.
3) If I disable No-Script from Extensions menu of Firefox the google search starts to work without any problems.
When I enter a search term from the "browsers' (->Firefox, obviously) Search box", google displays results. But when I:
1) change search query in the Search box from the display page, or
2) enter any search query from http://www.google.com, or
no new search is accomplished, real time search seems to work partially (the results pane is dimmed) but again pressin Enter or clicking Search Button does not work. But if I:
1) click "I'm feeling lucky" link in suggestion drop down box in Search box, or
2) click anything to change searcy type (like 'Images', 'Maps' etc.) the results are shown.
From these behaviours I suspect No-Script causes clicking enter in the Search box or clicking Search Button not to function.
To express better I prepared some screen shots below (English is not my mother tongue {which is Turkis}, so it is possible I might have expressed myself wrong). Also I added my No-Script settings (sorry it displays in Turkish). I resetted all settings to default also.
BTW No-Script version is 2.1.8.rc3
You may check these at:

Thanks in any further help.
(Also the is one step to take which I will do right now -> Removing No script and installing again)
