Cannot determine page referrer page

Since my last update, from 2.1.5 to the most recent, a game i've been playing on Firefox for years now is suddenly getting errors here and there.
Specifically, when i open a new tab using middle-click on a link, the new page will say it cannot determine the referrer page.
The was never a problem before. Did something change in NoScript recently?
