NoScript Installed website keeps opening

Post by Idran »

This is kind of a weird error; it's not really interfering with anything, though I would still like to fix it. Every time I open Firefox, the NoScript webpage opens itself the way it usually does after you update the extension. Does anyone here know what might be causing that, and how I could get it to stop?

Unless a NS update was installed during the previous session, and you didn't notice or didn't restart Firefox, yes, that's weird.
Probably something for Giorgio to look at, but if you want to stop the annoyance in the meantime, go to NoScript menu > Options > Notifications, and uncheck "Display the release notes on updates" > OK.

If it still happens after that, that's *very* weird.

The most likely reason is something (a sandbox? wrong filesystem permissions) interfering with the ability of Firefox to save your preferences on the disk.
If the work-around indicated by Tom doesn't help, the above is proved and you should check whether any other preference can be saved or if creating a new profile helps.
