Did you remember to uncheck "Forbid Java" in NS > Options > Plugins?
I was able to download AlphaBlast (game chosen at random from that site) with no problems at all. However, we're on different platforms, so someone with that OS might have to try to reproduce your problem.

Identical OS, identical versions of NS and FF? If so, check that *every* config setting is the same between the two machines. Perhaps try using the NS Synchronization Guides in
this thread -- you sound advanced enough to use the shorter version at the bottom. If that doesn't work, try synchronizing Fx config settings as well.

If identical OS, NS versions, etc. produce two different results, it would seem to be in the settings. Let us know what happens.
