flashgot cant detect 'internet download manager'

I am pretty confident I have heard people using IDM with FlashGot and it sees it fine. However, since I don't have a copy installed, I can't exactly check. Hopefully someone who has it can verify for you.

What version of IDM?
Are you running as a Limited or Administrative user?
Does IDM work in IE?

i'm using the latest flashgot version, latest IDM, and latest firefox ver.

the IDM item in the drop down menu is grayed out.

be sure IDM's Internet Explorer integration component is installed.

i have the same problem. i have just intall windows 7. i installed latest firefox 3.5.5 and flashgot 1.2.0.8. i got idm 5.18 and just installed idm-firefox addon idm cc 6.7.still idm is grey on the list. how can i be sure about idm-ie integration enabled??

If the "Download with IDM" menus in IE work, it's enabled.

hi giorgio. first of all thanks for your great addon. i think problem is IDM. because its not working on ie either. win 7 has ie8 as default and in the IDM case there is a IEExt.htm file which is the reason of the error according to ie8 bug warning. also when i try to download something i get 0x80004002 error.. it must be something with win7 ...idm has also a easy flv download tool which is very succesful.thats why i prefer that program. if u know any solution plesae let us know..

Switch to Orbit Downloader. It's free, it has a flv grabber (and in most cases "FlashGot Media" is enough to download flvs).
