Zip files won't open

I used Flashgot with Firefox 3.6.22 and used the jdownloader program. Any file that is not a zip, like wmv, avi, mpeg, and so on work. However when I try to open the archives (.zip) it says it isn't a valid archive. I have had 7-zip test the archive, same problem. I then downloaded using just the firefox download manager and the files open perfectly with no issues. I did a properties check and the .zip are exactly the same size, byte for byte. I moved the files to another directory and same problem. It is as if Flashgot/Jdownloader are inserting something that makes the file an invalid archive. Does anyone know what is happening? I sure don't want to have to go back and redownload all those zip files. I am bandwidth limited comcast and those files have taken up already half my monthly bandwidth allowance. Please help.

If the sizes of the files are identical as you say, then it's probably something done by JDownloader and surely not something related to FlashGot, since FlashGot just passes the address of the file to JDownloader which does the all the download heavy lifting.

Please try reporting to JDownloader's developers.

Maybe you could use something like WinMerge to give you some sort of clue of the differences between the two "zips" (files in general)?

Might just be an oddity like a corrupted first byte (or something far more then that).
