Author verification

Post by swarnava »

why Giorgio does not verified is author ship? :)

Add-on authors are only verified on installation when the add-on has been digitally signed. This can be done following the instructions here:

https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Signing_a_XPI
https://adblockplus.org/blog/signing-fi ... d-m2crypto

Thanks

NoScript & FlashGot both have & have had a META-INF section with associated manifest.mf, zigbert.rsa, & zigbert.sf files within.
Or is it more to it then that?
(Modify a file within the xpi, leaving the above mentioned files unchanged, & you will get complaints from your browser when you go to install.)

In facts, it's already done (I've been cryptographically signing my extensions long before Palant started to do it as well).
