first of all complimenti;

here the configuration
odd netbook (acer aspire one)
windows xp
firefox 3 6 18

as i couldn't let work the new donwloader, i wanted to try, (utuberobot_3.8.2009.921) but with no big effort...so i've just tried to use flashgot straight, why not? went on 3 links to download mp3s; firefox crashed, but marvel of the marvels, the download after reopening firefox was on their way and displayed on the firefox download winndow; fine; but after the crash i continued to download the other mp3 through the firefox downloader directly;

the issue is that of 10 files, those first three downloads through the right click menu and flashgot are on the donload list of firefox, can be played with ms windos media player, but they do not exist, ie i can't find their location!
the folder i created thru flashgot does not exist anymore, but on the properties of the file (through the player, NOT thru the download window of ff) the path is given but does not exist...so where are the files?

search by explorer or manually in temp etc, could not help;
i guess they are under a different name in a special flashgot folder...who can give me a hint?

If you're using the Built-in downloader, the download folder is the same as any other download you perform from Firefox.
Just use ctrl+J to have the list of anything you downloaded.

that's the thing: they appear on the download list/window of firefox and i can open them (((but for example if i try to open the folder through the right click, it just opens the file directly))),
BUT they do NOT appear in the "download" folder of firefox, ie the folder chosen as the target folder for dowloaded files through firefox;
a part this i have chosen a DIFFERENT folder as a target for those first three mp3 files, creating a subfolder of an existing one...: but they aren't there neither! miiinkia!:D

it is just curiosity, where the hell are they, of course i can download them again;

also when i play them and go thru right click on the properties of the files, it shows me exactly the path with the subfolder i've created thru flashgot, but, again, this subfolder is not shown by windows explorer ("documenti" or whatsoever);

anyway no problem; i think it's all because of the crash;

I think you can easily find out where they're gone by right-clicking their row in the Download Manager window and selecting "Open Containing Folder".

Furthermore, you can tell Firefox (and thus FlashGot) to ask you every time by checking Firefox's Tools|Options|General|Downloads|Always ask me where to save files checkbox.
