Options menu issue in Firefox

In Firefox, I had a problem with the "Options" button located on the bar at the bottom of the browser, when clicked, the flyout menu would fly down - making all options unable to be viewed. Then the problem went away for a time. Now, sometime after upgrading to 5.0, it's back. I can work around it by dropping down to the circled "S" icon and temporarily allowing from there. I searched for "Option button", but came up with nothing in the first two pages.
I just wondered if this was an easy fix.

Is the Add-on Bar visible (see Tools | View)?
Did you drag the NoScript icon to said bar?
(I believe that's what you may need to do in FF.)

I see that I have the tool bar enabled. However, the icon for NoScript is located in the lower right-hand corner of my browser window. Which is fine by me, frankly.
When I navigate to a site that needs to be allowed, a bar appears above the bottom frame of the browser with a button labeled "Options.." in the lower right-hand corner; positioning it above the NoScript icon. I can click on it, but the menu opens downwards, and therefore cannot be seen beyond the top border. If I lower my mouse to the NoScript icon, the same menu pops up and I can allow the site from there. What makes this inconvenient, is that I have my Windows 7 toolbar on auto hide; so there is a bit of a war between it popping up and covering the NoScript icon until I get my mouse to snag the NoScript icon properly.
I cannot drag the NoScript icon off the bottom frame to the top area where a toolbar also exists.
Hope this clarifies things and thank you for your suggestions.

If you put Firefox in Customize mode -- View > Toolbars > Customize -- you should be able to drag the NoScript toolbar button from the Add-on bar to any of the toolbars at the top of the browser. If that doesn't work, then your Firefox is hosed.

If I click the Options button from NoScript's notification bar, the menu always pops
upwards for me, never down. Try updating to the very most current version of NoScript, the
latest development build.

I was able to move the NoScript icon to the top button bar, eliminating my arguments with my Win7 toolbar (on auto-hide). For Firefox 5 you click on the Firefox menu in the upper left, go to Options.. Toolbar Layout. Then you can have your way with your icons.
However, the "Options" bar that appears when NoScript encounters an unfamiliar page still appears at the bottom and still "flies out" in the wrong direction.
Does anyone know how to change the location of the "Options" bar/button in NoScript?

You are talking about the notification bar? Uncheck "Place message at the bottom" in the "Notifications" tab in the NoScript options.
