Download progress indication for curl/wget downloads?

Hello,

I am running FlashGot 1.3.0.4 and latest NoScript on Firefox 5.0.1 running on Mac OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard. They both work great and I love them!

However, when I specify curl or wget as my download managers, there is NO progress indicator for downloads AFAIK. I just have to wait for the downloaded file to appear to know if it worked!

So, what can I do to see the download progress if I use curl or wget? BTW, I hope there is an answer that applies to Mac OS X and Linux if possible.

Thanks again for creating such a great Firefox addon.

On Linux, FlashGot opens a terminal window where you can follow wget's/curl progress.
On Mac this doesn't seem to work on every configuration (have you got XTerm installed?), but I'll investigate further what can be done.

I seem to be having the same problem with no terminal opening when flashgot starts downloading. I don't know if it's firefox or flashgot or linux. Tried new profile and older version of firefox but results were the same. Any help on this will be appreciated. Thanks, Bill

Linux version? Have you got xterm in your path?

Thanks so very much for the quick reply. The problem was xterm. I didn't have it set as the default. Learned something else today. Again thank you. Bill
