NoScript not updating

Hi,

I have NoScript installed on three machine at home, but am having problems updating to the latest version on one box.

Two of my machines today updated successfully to 2.1.2.4rc3. My other machine tried this update and things went wonky so I uninstalled NoScript and reinstalled. This machine's version is 2.1.1.2 and when checking for updates, won't show an update for 2.1.2.4rc3, like my two other machines did.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
J

Get back on the development channel by installing 2.1.2.4rc3 manually from latest development build or https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... /versions/.

Explanation: Version 2.1.1.2 is on the NoScript release channel, which has relatively long delays while releases are reviewed by AMO. To get automatically updated to rc versions -- which always have the most current bug fixes -- you must have an rc version installed.

Just registered to say thanks Alan Baxter - your explanation about needing to have a rc version of NoScript installed to be able to get updates has solved a mystery that was baffling me. I too, uninstalled NS temporarily from FF 5.0 at the request of someone to troubleshoot an issue I'm having on a particular website (they wanted it uninstalled, not just disabled) and then I reinstalled the latest version on the addon's website (2.1.2.3) but couldn't get updates no matter how often I checked; yet my Orca was getting them and was up to 2.1.2.5rc1 as from today. :?

Found this thread after an intensive search and am now running the same version on FF. Thanks heaps. :)
