Downloading from nick.com

Our family is going on a road trip and I wanted to download some cartoons for my kids to keep them quiet on the long drive, so I went to Nick.com . Nick plays a commercial before the cartoon, once the commercial is done, than the cartoon starts to play. But FlashGot only sees the commercial, the cartoon never shows up on the list of available downloads.

You didn't post anything specific, but what I looked at looked to be Macromedia Flash SWF (CWS) files rather then "video".
Not sure that FlashGot is supposed to pick up on that?
One game, looked to have 2 score or so "pieces" & likely relied on (onsite) JavaScript to function & most assuredly would not work even if you successfully grabbed all the pieces.
One a particular show episode, I didn't get a clear feel (other then that too looked to be CWS) & I didn't attempt a download (from within my download manager - not NoScript).

Another thing to consider is that the commercials are usually static files that can be detected at source and downloaded but the actual content is often streaming and uses the RTMP/RTSP protocols or similar and they cannot be detected or downloaded by flashgot and you would need a stream capture of some kind to get them. Just a thought.

It's rather easy to find the streams using Httpfox and download them with a tool like rtmpdump, but is this functionality not going to be something that will be added into flashgot?

No, I don't think that RTMP support is on the roadmap.
