Can't Import Whitelist/Blacklist Into NoScript

Hi,

I'm a big fan of NoScript and I just updated to Firefox 5, today. I usually like to do a clean install, so what I usually do before upgrading is export all my NoScript settings using the global export button and then import it back in after I've upgraded Firefox. Unfortunately, when I tried importing my settings back in, NoScript won't allow me to import the file. The files themselves are greyed out, as if it doesn't accept these types of files. Which is a first for me.

Any solution on how to get this working again would be greatly appreciated, as I'd hate to have to spend an enormous amount of time getting my list and settings back to how they were.

I cannot reproduce, but it might be a Mac OS X specific issue.
Could you show me a screenshot?

I am on Mac OS X (10.6.7), yet this is definitely a first for me. Here is a screenshot:



As you can see, the ability to open up these files, which I exported in NoScript, isn't possible.

Just to confirm, I am having the same issue on a Mac. This is new with Firefox 5 I believe as I have never had this trouble before.

Thanks for chiming in, Mallot. Interesting to note that it's not just me. If anyone has a solution to this problem, it would be much appreciated. It would also make my internet experience far more pleasant, again!

Hi there, I can confirm this issue. I can no longer import settings, since I updated to Firefox 5.

I'm investigating, but I believe it's a bug in Firefox's file picker on Mac OS X.
