problem at www.medicare.gov site

Hi,

I've found that if I go to the http://www.medicare.gov site it says to enable javascript to use the site. So I temporarily allowed medicare.gov. I still got the enable javascript message. I deleted my cache and temporarily allowed all on this site. That didn't work either. The only way I could use the site was to disable NoScript. Is there something else I was suppose to do?

Sincerely, Libra

After I got the enable javascript message, I Allowed medicare.gov. NoScript dutifully loaded the url for the page with the error message. I then pasted http://www.medicare.gov/ back into the url bar again. This time the site loaded without error. Make sure yahooapis.com is still Allowed too. It's allowed by default.

Update NoScript to the most recent development build at http://noscript.net/getit#devel, then try these steps, in order, until NoScript is working right again.

- The NoScript settings became messed up somehow. Reset the NoScript Options by pressing Reset at the bottom of the Options dialog. Export your whitelist before doing that if you've added any trusted or untrusted sites you'd like to restore after NoScript is working again.

- There might be an extension conflict. Use the Add-ons manager to temporarily disable any other Firefox extensions you have installed, except for NoScript.

- Perform a Standard Diagnostic. If NoScript isn't working by the time you get to the "Create a new profile" step, a new profile with no other extensions besides NoScript should work right.

Hope this helps. Please let us know whether it does.

Edit: Added yahooapis.com

This is likely all that is needed.

If not, then it might be cookie related. Clear your cookies & reload the site.

Thanks. I didn't think of that possibility.

Thank you both for your replies. I went to the site and got the javascript message. I then pasted http://www.medicare.gov/ into the address bar and it worked!! I deleted my previous cookies for the site and made a new one. I tested the new bookmark and it worked fine. (I have no idea why, but the original bookmark had a lot added to it in the address bar when compared to what was in the properties of my bookmark!)

I appreciate your help. I didn't like turning off NoScripts.

Sincerely, Libra
