noscript revert to disable script even if allowed

Post by micromode »

Hi

i have 3 machines with noscript installed with latest version of firefox.

after last update i am having annoying problem.

after i set noscript to allow some site it goes back to default setting of to forbid the site. sometime it goes back within 10-20 seconds and some time after around a minute.

i have reset all settings to default in noscript in option but still facing the issue.

please help.

Are you using Firefox Sync?

This.
If one of the devices you're syncing has an empty or shorter whitelist and periodically saves its preferences, it may override the other devices.

This is a shortcoming of leveraging Firefo's built in preference synchronization mechanism, and will be fixed in NoScript 3 (currently available for Mobile only).

I'm running FF 4.0.1 with Sync enabled and NoScript 2.1.0.3 and believe I have the same problem.

So right now NoScript keeps reverting my settings and I keep having to re-enable sites over and over again. If there is no "fix" until 3.0, then please add an option to disable Sync integration as it makes NoScript pretty much unusable.

Thanks,

is there any way to disable syncing just noscript.
noscript.sync.enabled;false
i already have above setting in about:config.

will disabling the syncing of settings through bookmarks solve the issue?
or
will disabling "preferences syncing" solve the issue?

thanks

Normally it should suffice (you need to put it on every device, though).

Bookmark-based sync doesn't work at all with Fx 4

Surely yes.
