ABE locking up extentiuons tab firefox4

Post by marco'anthonio »

first i like to say hello, .. Hello
have used noscript for some time now and have never had the issue i'm having now with abe . I have taken screen shots to give you as much details as poss.
check this out pls and tell me if firefox 4 needs particular config settings, which i do.
I dont get to add an attachment . I had added test pilot then removed it thinking that had something to do with it ;basically every time i went to the extentions settings the whole page locked up.
I had no way of turning noscript off or any other thing ,so i removed it. reinstalled without test ^pilot ,yet still the same and even in private browsing, trying to get the confirmation link to post here off yahoo took me 3/4 of an hour . Even with noscript turned off.
I have it turned off now and thus i could send this.yet still i can't get noscript to allow me to attach the images screenshots.non responsive noscript's icon .img??
i thought i ought to tell you about it,that's all .i am not complaining.
as for bug report .. I am NOT qualified to give one.
thanks

Could you try NoScript Options|Reset?

Hi Giorgio ,it seem sto have rest itself right now , i just restarted it ,firefox4 up after bein gone ,and i can now see the icon in the right plce next to the url taskbar .Earlier it was on the right pointing arrow. I wonder if it had something to do with the theme?.
anyways ABE is misbehaving on the add-ons page .
The WANip setting ?..i do use opendns & easy hide ip proxy; but i always have done in the past.
Noscript & flashgot always come along with me ,and a couple others like better privacy & ghostery. i don't even have adblock yet installed on this version ,yet.
thanks for the quick reply. It's nice to see that
a forum is actually doing it's intended purpose .
thanks G.

It looks like services.addons.mozilla.org resolves to a local IP for you.
Could you try running the following code in Tools>Error Console and tell me what you see?

Code: Select all

Components.utils.getGlobalForObject(Components.classes["@maone.net/noscript-service;1"].getService().wrappedJSObject).DNS.resolve("services.addons.mozilla.org", 0, function(r) alert(r.entries.toSource()));
