[INVALID] Problem with Google Maps and HP.com site

I am using Seamonkey 2.0.14 and NoScript 2.0.98.

When I go to Google Maps and type in an address it just says loading, but does nothing. Next to loading it says try HTML, so I clicked on that and got the map but when I click on the bubble that should show the house, nothing happens. I was able to use this before, so I don't know why this is happening. I have the original NoScript settings which has Google.com whitelisted. I disabled Web Beacons in NoScript.

When I go to HP.com and try to order ink for my printer (I temporarily allow HP) everything works fine until I try to type in my credit card number. I am not able to type it in! I have tried holding down the shift key, but that doesn't help. I can type my name, address, etc. but not my credit card, so I can't order my ink. One time I used IE, which worked and recently I called HP to place the order.

These problems are happening in Seamonkey. Does anyone know how I can fix them?

Thank you.

Sincerely, Libra

Regarding the Google Maps issue, is your local Google domain (e.g. google.de) allowed?

And on the HP site, maybe there's some additional script source still forbidden? Did you try "Allow all on this page"?

Does the Error Console display any suspect message?

(I'm using SeaMonkey 2.1.)

HP needs speedera.net & most likely hp-www.com too.

URL for your Google Maps page?

I tried the HP site twice, and now I'm able to enter in a credit card number, so that's good.

Re Google Maps - I have google.com and gstatic.com in my Whitelist. I get the message "Still loading...slow? Use the troubleshooting guide or basic HTML" When I try basic HTML I get "search PLACES". I then get the correct map, but the balloon or arrow doesn't show the house.

I don't know what my local map address might be. I tried to put "maps.google.com into my whitelist, but when I typed in the "m" of com - the allow button got greyed out. So I put in maps.google.co and allowed that, but it didn't help.

The address I get when I go to google and click on maps on top is

http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&tab=wl

I don't know where the error console is in Seamonkey.

Thank you.

> I typed in the "m" of com

That means that maps.google.com is already on your whitelist in some fashion or another.

Screenshot of what this balloon/arrow look like?

Hi,

I have google.com, googleapis.com and gstatic.com in my Whitelist. I took two screenshots but I can't figure out how to upload them. (I don't see any attachment link at the bottom or when I preview my post.) How do I upload them? They are in a file in my computer. Thank you.

You'll need to link from a site like http://tinypic.com.

Thank you.

This screenshot shows address put into google maps and upper left shows message (slow loading etc.) Nothing happens when I click on search. That message is partially cut off - it says to use the troubleshooting guide or use basic HTML.

This screenshot is after clicking on "use basic HTML" on previous places and gives a page to search Google PLACES. The results on the map are accurate and a balloon appears, but when I click on the balloon, nothing happens.

Maybe you already said it and I missed it in the long thread, but did you check whether disabling NoScript actually helps?

I don't know how to disable NoScript. Do I click on "Allow Scripts Globally" dangerous? And how do I get it back? Oh - I just looked in my Tools>Add on Manager under Extensions and I can disable it from there. I'll try that. Thank you.

EDIT: I disabled NoScript and also allowed google and google maps cookies, but I got the same exact results. So I guess it's not NoScript. I wonder if Adobe Flash could have anything to do with this because I don't allow anything stored on the computer, etc. - but when I right-click on one of the maps I don't see the adobe flash manager link.

Thank you.

Clearing all your google cookies might help.

I tried with our Windows 7 pc and it loaded fine! I cleared my cache, history and address bar (I don't have any google cookies - when I allowed them it was for session only). Then I started reading more posts about this problem somewhere in google.

I got it to load following someone's advice. I searched for an address in regular google.com, that loaded a map. I clicked on the arrow> that brought me to google maps where I clicked on the balloon > that gave me the map and little picture of house > I clicked on street view and got my picture!

I don't know what to make of this, but I'm glad I can access it. I apologize for thinking it was NoScript. Thanks for all your help.

Sincerely, Libra
