No Script seems to be turning off scripts in Yahoo, even when I have it set to "Allow scripts globally". Last night NS showed that scripts were only partially allowed, even with the aforementioned setting. Yahoo works fine in other browsers. I have no other script software running.

Is anyone else having this issue?

What kind of problem can you see, exactly (what functionality is not working)?
Notice that 1.9.1.8 and 1.9.1.9 had some issues with notifications, i.e. they showed "Partially allowed" when scripts where fully allowed instead.
Can you reproduce on 1.9.1.91?

Yes, I just downloaded the newest version of NS and the issue is still there. But I noticed something that makes me think it may be a Yahoo issue as well: on the browsers that it works on (IE8 & Opera), full ads are showing, despite the fact that I have a paid account--those ads should not be showing because of this.

I just remembered that I went back to a free Yahoo account, so ignore that piece.

You still did not explain which functionality is missing.
However could you try to use NoScript Options|Reset, then reload the page and see if something changes?
(Notice that Reset erases your whitelist, so you may want to use NoScript Options|Whitelist|Export first.)

Sorry. These things are missing:

• all the Yahoo graphics (but the ads and the graphics from outside paid ads show up)
  drop down boxes under "check mail", "new", "reply", "move", etc.
  formatting toolbar

I already tried to Reset and cleared my cache.

My partner has the same current versions of NS and FF, yet is having no problems, so I think a FF or NS update may have glitched. All I can think to do is uninstall and reinstall.

Did you already try to disable NoScript and see if it's actually that?
Have you got AdBlock Plus?
Could you try Standard Diagnostic?

I just tested my Yahoo mail account using the latest NoScript, Fx and Adblock Plus and by simply allowing yimg.com yahoo.com I was able to get all the functionality. In addition to that I had to allow access to akamai.com which I have untrusted in NS but had to allow temporary access through my RequestPolicy to get the pictures to look right and everything works fine. All the features you listed are functional and nothing is broken. Try the diagnostics listed, make sure you have the latest NS, make sure you allow the proper domains and it should work fine, otherwise keep us posted and we'll see what we can figure out.

This may not be directly related, but sounds like the same issue, except only with d/l mail attachments. I've noticed a fairly recent (adverse) change in behavior when d/l attachments: Say a message has four attachments, and I have all permissions permanently set for Yahoo (which I do). After d/l attach #1, the blue icon turns partly red, and I cannot d/l the next attachment without re-enabling mail.yahoo.com or yahoo.com. Same thing happens after d/l #2 etc.: each d/l seems to be revoking a permission. A friend with fairly similar configurations did not have this issue. Any suggestions where to start looking? I can give a screenshot if needed. Thanks.

I have noticed that if you allow high enough on the branch, it will usually not cause too much problems. Example: If you allow something like http://xyz.u2.some.domain.com then you are restricting it WAY too much and any change in any part of the left 3 parts will cause an issue (http://->https://, xyz->abc->def, u2->me3->us4) so on and so forth. But if someone were to allow at the pure branch of some.domain.com will generally fix the problem because any subdomain hopping necessary that comes down the line will be whitelisted and therefore will not interfere. Just a thought and if that's not what's happening, then maybe need to reset the list and try again. Something might have gotten screwy at some point because no issues here and all I have done is whitelist (temporarily) mail.yahoo.com and yimg.com and that's it. Now here is the kicker, I don't even need to allow yimg.com to get function, looks a bit wonky but works. login.yahoo.com needs to be allowed as they do random authentications and so on and it breaks the refresh and mail.yahoo.com is needed and if you really want to, mail.yimg.com or just yimg.com will work too. Outside of that not sure what's going on.

I've allowed even higher than that. Yahoo.com is perm w/l. (not just mail.yahoo.com). So is yimg.com, and akamai.net. Thanks for trying -- the issue is *specifcally* when d/l multiple attachments -- have you tried doing that? Thanks.

Just retested with multiple attachments.
No problem with Yahoo! Mail Classic with the default whitelist (yahoo.com + yimg.com).
With "All New" Yahoo! Mail, FAQ 3.7 still applies, i.e. you need to unblock objects from 216.xxx.yyy.zzz, appearing in NoScript's menu after the first failed attachment download.

I have the Classic and that whitelist. For me, the unblock object applies only to upload, not download. On download, there is *no* blocked object, only the denial of all scripting from Yahoo after the first attachment is successfully d/l. Then I must re-allow either mail.yahoo.com or yahoo.com, even though the latter is in my whitelist.

Sorry buddy, I tried. Maybe Giorgio can work his magic on this one.

(Just to note, that in order to upload an attachment <at least in Yahoo Mail Classic>, you need to have either Forbid <IFRAME> or Apply these restrictions to trusted sites too, unchecked.)
