Untrusted vs. marked untrested

I'm a bit confused about the menu at NoScript Options | Embeddings tab.

The first menu item there reads "Additional restrictions for untrusted sites"

Then there is the tick box item in the middle of the same menu "Block every object coming from a site marked as untrusted"

The two "unrested" are the same or not? I mean one seems to be actually refering to any site that's not in the whitelist while the second one seems to be refering to the sites that I (or you?) explicitly noted as being "untrusted".

Am I correct or not. And if I am isn't it better if the wording was different? For example replace the first one wit "not whitelisted sites" and reserve the "untrusted" to the other option (or vice versa: keep the untrusted one at the top option and change the below option into "untrustworthy" (assuming that is a proper english word ;)

Thanks in advance

You are correct. The wording is misleading. I like your suggestion. We'll see what Giorgio thinks.

Yes, this is a long standing issue, due to blacklisting/"mark as untrusted" having been added late, when the "trusted" vs "untrusted" lingo was already used everywhere.

Since NoScript is being mostly rewritten and the permission system made much more flexible, with "TRUSTED", "UNTRUSTED" and "DEFAULT" built-in customizable policies, plus any per site custom permission you need, future NoScript 3.x version will refer to these policies and let you set restrictions on them or per-site directly.
