Fennec

Hi,

I recently installed Fennec on my HTC*. Unfortunately the noscript xpi manifest does not like the version it reports and refuses to install due to be incompatible. Is it realy incompatible or does it just say so due to the manifest?

I tried edit the manifest and install it trough my own local webserver, but Fennec doesnt like that and refuses to install (maybe due to some signature problem).
If you guys could make a updated version, i gladly go test it out :-)
I too tried set extensions.checkCompatibility to true/false in about:config, but it did not change anything (huh?...im confused about that....).

For Reference, this is what it reports to be:
Mozilla/5.0 (Android; Linux armv7l; rv:2.1) Gecko/20110318 Firefox/4.0b13pre Fennec/4.0 ID:20110318114419
The install.rdf says something about Fennec 2.something, i think they uped the version to 4 to match the firefox version.

*Basicaly i installed it only to get noscript. I use noscript on my desktop(s) for years, and that build in browser on my HTC...well, everytime i use it, i feel like a small kitten that has been put into a pool of whater with sharks. This kitten needs some protective gear ;-)

It is really incompatible, so far.
Please try NoScript Anywhere (warning: work in progress!)
