If I've set NoScript to "Forbid other plugins" and click in a NewFox feed on a pdf-link, it tries to open the placeholder within NewsFox and blocks it. If the plugin is allowed by NoScript, it opens in a tab outside of NewsFox, as it should in any case.

An example may help you to reproduce it:

I get the placeholder in a tab outside, if I middle-click the link, btw.

Error Console shows:
Warning: XUL box for deck element contained an inline a child, forcing all its children to be wrapped in a block.
Source file: chrome://newsfox/content/newsfox.xul

Is there a setting or anything else I can do to avoid this?

There's no setting to avoid it.
Investigating work-arounds.

Sorry, it's not fixed in both versions of SeaMonkey.
I use the Foxit Reader Plugin, btw.
