Google news refresh

My fight with refresh on news.google.com continues. (See http://forums.informaction.com/viewtopi ... 85&p=25028 for the previous round.)
Currently, I have "news.google.com" set as Untrusted, and under Options > Advanced > Untrusted I have "Forbit META redirections inside <NOSCRIPT> elements" selected, but it still refreshes, sometimes while I am reading headlines, nearly every time after refocusing the window after some time away. I've given up on all other JavaScript features of the page in order to stop refresh, but even that is not working. Any suggestions? Even better, I'd be grateful if someone could help me disable the refresh but allow the rest (or as much of the rest as possible) of the JavaScript on the page (left side-bar anchoring, keyboard navigation, fast flip, etc.).
