Giorgio, could this be NoScript related? Has been in the Error Console ever since I updated to Fx4 with NS 2.0.9.9...

Could not read chrome manifest file 'C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\extensions\{972ce4c6-7e08-4474-a285-3208198ce6fd}\chrome.manifest'.

Nope. {972ce4c6-7e08-4474-a285-3208198ce6fd} is the GUID for the Firefox default theme.
This message (which shouldn't have any serious side effect) is probably due to a dirty update from previous Firefox versions.

I have that problem too. i tried to find it because, i can't use with no proxy. with proxy is ok. at my office both proxy and no proxy can use. after i updated the firefox 4 , it started that problem. with ie , no proxy is ok. can you pleasetellme waht to do??
