[RESOLVED] NoScript and Firefox 4.0, tabs are auto-opened

Post by ohei2 »

Since I have upgraded Firefox to 4.0 RCx I have a problem which did not happen in that form with previous versions: On some, i.e. not all, Yahoo pages 4 to 8 tabs are auto-opened just containing one word or one litte button.

I have reported this issue as Firefox bug under https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=641372 but the developers told me that it is very likely a problem with NoScript.

You will find a more detailed decription there. Here is a screenshot of what happens:

Feel free to ask me any further questions.

Thanks for your time.

Did you check whether the problem persists with latest development build?

No, I have not. I was using the latest stable version as of this writing.

I will install the development build and report on the situation. The changelog seems to indicate that the problem is fixed already:
v 2.1.0rc1
==========================================================================
x Fixed iframe content being sometimes opened in new tabs on Fx 4 when ABE
is enabled and DNS cache is missed
I assume that is my problem.
