Hi!
I think something probably got broken in the 1.2.8.4 version. Because I have random links popping up in free download manager. I think its because of flashgot because I only started experiencing it yesterday after flashgot got updated. The link is often something I try to view, for example by clikcing a link or using a bookmark keyword. Last time it was one of the tabs that loaded in a different panorama group at firefox startup.

I'm starting to think its related to the middle click autoscrolling. It seems to happen when I do that and something is loading in the background. I don't always get the url of the page thats loading but something that the page loads itself.(or so I think)

Disabled that and the issue didn't came up again. I don't need that feature anyway. But it has to be broken because of sending random url-s loading in the background to the download manager and not just whatever I clicked on.

Are you sure they're random? Might it be there was a text selection with some links inside?

It seems so. Since I mentioned before a link came up that was loading in another panorama group to which I didn't even change at that point. Also once a twitter page was loading on another when I got a twitter link, which wasn't an account link or a message link, but something probably the page loaded since the loading got interrupted. In the former occasion the page didn't load at all while the others loaded in the group.

Okay I found how to fix it, type "About:config" in your browser and toggle flashgot.gestures from there, haven't had any problems so far.

Guest, whoever you are, read what I said above, it has fixed it for me. If your computer illiterate, maybe someone can make you a video or a set of pictures to help you out, but it's so easy it took me 1min.

Middle-Click + Drag Down is not a valid gesture - it's a bug that FlashGot is using it. Middle-Click + Drag Down is already used for a short-term scroll down behaviour in Firefox. The middle-click bring up the scroll icon, while dragging down causes downward scrolling to commence at a speed proportional to the distance between the cursor and the scroll icon. Scrolling terminates when the middle mouse button is is released outside the scroll icon area. Hence, to efficiently scroll down a moderate amount - say a half page - in Firefox, Middle-Click + Drag Down is the most efficient way of doing it - particularly if you want to be pixel-precise in your scroll, unlike the scroll wheel.

The two could be distinct?
One being middle-click, release, move mouse pointer down.
FlashGot being ... difficult for me to accomplish (maybe I just need more practice).
Though looks like middle-click, hold (unnatural for me), move mouse pointer down, does scroll the page too, but I don't see the point in holding the middle-click down?
Note that what I say is being said in a Profile without FlashGot at the moment, so can't say if it breaks the "normal" scroll.

Actually there is a point. If you hold down you only have to lift it up your finger to stop scrolling. Its a lot faster then pressing it again and therefore easier to stop the scrolling at the intended position.
