How long is temoprary?

Temporary suggests that that the permission runs out after a while. Is that the case? If so how long?
Or do I have to manually remember to revoke a temporary permission later?

Until Firefox is restarted.
By the way, you need a Firefox update. We registered users can see the user agent string your browser sends. It indicates you are running an obsolete version of Firefox. It's easier to troubleshoot these issues if you're using the current version. Also, it's risky to use an old version of Firefox which has known, published, unpatched vulnerabilities. NoScript is a useful security tool, but even more effective is running with an up-to-date Firefox. Help > Check for Updates.

I wanted to quote your update quote, but for some obscure and annoying reason I keep getting a picture of Sylvester Stallone if I try to do that.
But regarding upgrading firefox:
Yeah, I don't have time to go through the hassle of updating all the time. I do it now and then, if I'm convinced newer versions aren't going to be a lot slower the the one I'm using.

I suppose you've figured out why that is already. Try not munging your user agent.

Minor Firefox updates from 3.x.y to 3.x.y+1 happen only once every month or two and don't take any more of my time than the time it takes to restart Firefox -- which takes hardly any time at all if I wait until I would be restarting anyway. Minor updates usually consist of only bug fixes and security patches and never make Firefox slower. Properly configured extensions retain their compatibility across minor updates too, so that shouldn't be an issue.

No?

Well its not the business of a board to care about that, and i could still post with that agent.

Well, I use the portable version so it takes a bit longer. And i generally believe patches makes thing slower. Perhaps I'll check out version 4 (or 5)

Your belief is incorrect regarding Firefox.
