Since there's still people stuck with NoScript 1.x for compat reasons, and they're the ones who more benefit of this feature since their browser versions aren't protected yet, that text probably needs to be updated, rather than removed.

Ah, I'd forgotten about that. I was not sensitive enough for them, so your conclusion is certainly better.
