I've been using No Script for awhile now and sometimes it's a real pain ... like going to sites and finding out No Script blocks everything as a default setting so I have to unblock stuff.
The program is very hard to use overall and I don't mess with it much except to try and unblock or block various ads and such.
If you could figure out a way to block ads from Facebook & youtube, that would be worth it's weight in GOLD! I've tried and failed to block them with No Script as it is.
How come sometimes I have the option to "Make permission permanent" and other sites I don't? I would be nice not to have to continually unblock sites I go to frequently!
All in all, it's a good program and helps make the surfing experience much better!
Thanks!
Marci

Use the Adblock Plus extension to block ads. It works well with NoScript. Choose the EasyList subscription from the Adblock Plus first-run page. (The Fanboy list works well too, but its site is down at the moment.)Selahgal wrote:The program is very hard to use overall and I don't mess with it much except to try and unblock or block various ads and such.

Thanks Alan. I got the Adblock Plus up and running and it seemed to work well, but today the Facebook Ads are all back. I can't even put them on the 'list' manually. They are never ending anyway, unfortunately!
I did not find that 'Easylist' Subscription you talked about?

- Click on the ABP icon and select Preferences from the ABP menu.Selahgal wrote:I did not find that 'Easylist' Subscription you talked about?
- Any Filter subscriptions you have are displayed there. If the EasyList subscription isn't displayed yet, then select Filters > Add filter subscription
- Choose EasyList from the list

You're welcome. If you need any further help, there's plenty of good support in the Adblock Plus forums.

Hi Everyone,
In order to use flash to see you tube and fill in forms, even to follow links, there is no choice but to temporarily allow using the NS Icon on my Firefox top toolbar right next to adblock. I always carefully check my setting using this icon. Never allowing permanent status, even to my bank.
I noticed this, because I use this icon all day, everyday.
Normal for me is the icon with the red circle, not allowing script. My question, was it a No Script addition or did something enter and change, allow and temp to be reversed or did a bug do it.
As to my choice of Comodo CIS, check Matousec's site out. http://www.matousec.com/projects/proact ... esults.php
I have nothing to do with any company nor am I an affiliate of this or any other company. If Comodo failed, it would be the first time in three years. It would be a serious issue if NS did not change the order of allow and temp, at least for me.
Thank you for allowing me to use NS. I have been using NS the first time I saw it a long time ago. I also use Firefox, ADP (adblock), better privacy, WOT.
Since using these products, I have had no blue screens or failure in a long, long time.
Thank you for the use of No Script, it has saved me a lot of 22 hour nights putting my music software and personalization.

In order to restore the old behavior just turn the noscript.hoverUI.excludeToggling about:config preference to false.halfcack wrote: Normal for me is the icon with the red circle, not allowing script.
