Nectar Search Toolbar not counting searches

Hi

I use the Nectar search toolbar as it gives me Nectar points when I do searches. Details of the toolbar can be found here.

Unfortunately unless I turn on "Allow Scripts Globally" something in NoScript is preventing the counting of searches and therefore I'm missing out on point collection. How do I resolve this?

Many thanks.

Does it work if you disable NoScript from Tools|Add-ons and JavaScript from Tools|Options|Content?
If it doesn't, the problem is in the toolbar which is not capable of counting searches unless JavaScript is enabled, and should be fixed by its developers.
Otherwise, please come back.

Thanks. It does appear that it needs JavaScript enabled.

Bearing in mind that the default of Firefox is that this is enabled, then why would this be a toolbar developer issue?

Because extensions don't need to depend on JavaScript being enabled for web content in order to work.
Since they've got higher privileges, they can do anything even if JavaScript is disabled for web pages, if properly coded: most of them (including NoScript itself) do, otherwise this forum would be flooded with requests like yours.
If an extension doesn't, is its fault (a bug).
